Do Logistics Companies Need a Blog?

The Short Answer:

Yes, but only if they have someone who can write and be consistent in publishing articles. Or, consider the Plan B below.

The Nuanced Answer:

Blog posts do not need to be epic, life-changing manifestos. Blogs that educate on things your customers care about are what you need to produce. Blogs help a lot with SEO as well (obviously) if that’s a focus for your company.

Blogs make for great content to share on social media or in email campaigns. Don’t get hung up on views. Do get hung up on talking about things your customers care about… solutions to their problems or news they can use.

The power of blogs is that they travel well. They’re something that gets prospects to your website, which is one of the most important goals for marketing. It’s often a first step to converting a lead. Blogs get forwarded and shared and show off your company’s smarts. They reinforce why your company can help the customer solve a problem.

The Punchline:

If you do not have a subject matter expert, who can write reasonably well (it doesn’t have to be great) and at least twice a month, here’s a plan B. Try putting out a news update with links to 5-6 articles you find interesting. Your customers want curated information.
